STATEMENT OF FAITH

Crossroads to Christ Ministry accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and used for the purpose of maintaining general unity of statements of faith. We believe the following 15 statements. John 1:1, Ephesians 4:13

 

The Scriptures Inspired; We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament are the inspired, infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

 

The One True God; We believe the one true God has revealed HIMSELF AS THE “I AM,” the Creator and Redeemer of mankind. Exodus 3:14, Job 19:25

 

The Deity of Jesus; We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death and resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God. John 1:1-4, 14

 

The Salvation of Man; We believe man’s only hope of eternal life with God is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith through grace and demonstrated in repentance. Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9

 

Ordinances of the Church;

1. Water Baptism. We believe baptism to be by the authority of Jesus

Christ in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and by full

immersion where possible. Matthew 3:11, Matthew 28:18-20

1. Holy Communion. We believe holy communion “The Lord’s Supper”

consists of the Body and Blood represented in the fruit of the vine and

bread. Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 10:16

 

The infilling and abiding presence of the Holy Spirit; We believe according to Acts 1:8 and evidenced by the empowering gracings of God on each individual believer, enabling them to be witnesses of God’s plan of salvation for mankind.

Acts 1:8, Ephesians 2:10

Sanctification; We believe sanctification is the process and act of separation from that which is evil, and dedication unto God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6, 2 Thessalonians 2:13

 

The Church and Its Mission; We believe the church is the representative of Jesus Christ on earth and its mission is to carry out the Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20

 

The Ministry; We believe the ministry includes divinely called and by scripture ordained ministerial offices which have been provided by God as described in Scripture to lead the church in evangelism, worship, building the body, and general leadership of the church. 1 Peter 5:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13. Acts 20:28

 

Divine Healing; We believe divine healing is provided for today by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins. James 5:14-15

 

The Blessed Hope; We believe the resurrection of the just is the blessed hope of the body of Christ. John 5:28-29

 

The Millennial Reign; We believe in the second coming of Christ preceded by the rapture of the church, is the return to earth by Christ with His saints for a thousand-year reign. Revelation 20:1-3

 

The Final Judgment; We believe there will be a final judgment at which time all men will be judged. Revelation 20:11-13

 

The New Heaven and Earth; We believe all of God’s children will reign forever in a new heaven and a new earth. Isaiah 65:17, 2 Peter 3:12-13, Revelation 21:1

 

Statement of Marriage; We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one born natural man and one born natural woman instituted by and publicly entered into before God. Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:22-27
